The 1930s Georgian manor house is “majestically positioned at the end of a wooded drive on 12 rolling acres,” according to the listing with Houlihan Lawrence. A representative from the brokerage did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Spanning 11,653 square feet, the house has eight bedrooms, including a master suite with a drawing room and dressing room, a living room with a French limestone fireplace, a two-story paneled library and a stone terrace overlooking the Hudson River.
There’s also an indoor pool, a gym, a recreation room and a summer kitchen.
And if those features aren’t enough, there’s potential to add outdoor amenities including a pool, tennis court, cabana and guest cottage, the listing said.
A few weeks before the buy, the couple sold a home in posh Bedford Corners, New York about 20 miles north of their new acquisition for $20.47 million, in a seemingly off-market deal.
Ms. Zeta-Jones, 49, and Mr. Douglas, 74, paid $11.25 million for the almost 15,500- square-foot mansion in 2014, property records show. They used the same LLC for both transactions.
